Wednesday night teleskiing 1/20

From Connie Lane connieenal@yahoo.com
------------------

I'll lead teleskiing this week to Blackhawk ski club..

Meet at the upper cage to get skis and other gear at 5:45 pm Wednesday.

Bring $45 (or $30 and your student ID) for a season pass and $1 for gas. You can borrow work gloves for the tow rope from the club or bring your own. We usually hang out in the lodge for a little while at the end so you might want to bring food or beverages for yourself (and others if you like to share, most people bring a snack to pass).

This is a beginner-friendly trip. The club has all the telemark gear you will need and experienced skiers are willing to teach beginners the basics.

No sign-up, just show up, BUT please let me know if you can drive. Park at Park Street Circle (where Park Street dead-ends into
Lake Mendota) with your flashers on if you drive. Once we've collected gear we'll drive out to Blackhawk Ski Club (http://www.blackhawkskiarea.org/) in Middleton and ski until 9 pm. After the social hour, we'll leave about 10 pm.

If you are curious about teleskiing, come to the Tuesday night meeting and ask questions.

Connie
