Snowshoe trip Saturday 1/23 before the rain starts

From Connie Lane connieenal@yahoo.com
-----------------------

Heavy rain should start Saturday afternoon, 23 January, and if we get as much as predicted, our current snow layer isn't going to be worth much....

If anyone wants to snowshoe Saturday morning and early afternoon before the rain, I will lead a trip to a segment of the Ice Age Trail that has a nice gorge. There is both very hilly and fairly flat terrain, so both beginner and intermediate snowshoers can be accommodated.

Meet at the PSC at 9 am and plan to be back by 2 pm. Please e-mail me by 7 am Saturday if you want to go.

Dress in layers, but not too warmly, as it should be in the 30s tomorrow morning. Wear boots (hiking or winter boots will work with the snowshoes). Bring water to drink and snacks or lunch to eat and $2 for gas.
