*Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course*
As a component of the *Hoofer Education Series*, Hoofers is sponsoring a
WFA course, taught by SOLO (http://soloschools.com), on November 21-22,
2009. A Discounted price of $125 is available for all Hoofer and ALPS
members *before October 15*!* *After October 15, the price will be $140, but
sign up early because space is limited! Sign up in the Outdoor Programs
Office; for more information contact the Hoofer Council Education Chair (
education@hoofers.org).

A Wilderness First Responder course (WFR) may also be scheduled for summer
2010. This intensive fast-paced course requires 2 weeks commitment (M-F
8a-5p) and will cost APPROXIMATELY $500. * This course will ONLY be
scheduled if sufficient interest is received; email education@hoofers.org if
you are interested.*




This is a great thing for all hoofers to have and it provides a lot of good
info on what to do in an emergency situation (just like the one encountered
on the hoofer trip to Glacier _ a vehicle roll over with a "pinned"
individual) It is an amazing skill set to have for both the front country
and the backcountry! Please feel free to email me or the education chair
