REI Scratch and Dent sale

Description: Every quarter REI has a sale of merchandise that was
returned for a myriad of reasons. It is called the "Scratch and Dent"
sale because some equipment might be used or slightly broken.
The sale starts at 10:00 am and goes until 1 or 2 o'clock.
Shoppers are admitted in groups of 40 using a ticket system. Tickets
are distributed on a first come basis starting at 9:30 am. Each group
is given 20 minutes to shop before the next group is admitted. You
must have a ticket and be an REI Co-op Member to shop the scratch &
dent sale. You will be allowed to purchase ten items per member
number. All sales are final.
I have found everything from tents, sleeping bags, hammocks, bike
racks, climbing shoes, wheeled travel duffels, clothing, snowshoes,
boots, skis, etc. Most for 50-75% off.
I am not leading a trip there. Just carpool with your friends and
enjoy the deals!
